Pre-coated films are widely used in printed materials lamination, such as book covers, brochures, posters, and business cards, to enhance visual appeal, texture, and durability. In packaging, pre-coated films are used in food packaging, such as frozen foods, snacks, and ready-to-eat meals, offering waterproof, moisture-proof, and non-toxic properties; they are also used in pharmaceutical packaging to protect product information and in high-end gift packaging such as cosmetics, electronics, and luxury goods packaging.

In industrial and advertising applications, pre-coated films are used in electronics packaging to provide antistatic and moisture protection, and in advertising materials to offer high gloss and durability. Specialty functional material applications include antimicrobial films for food and medical packaging, anti-fog films for frozen food packaging, and laser-etched films for premium packaging boxes.

Emerging application areas include digital printing, the card market, anti-counterfeiting lamination, and commercial advertising. Furthermore, pre-coated film technology has expanded into non-printed packaging fields, such as new building insulation materials in the construction industry and new insulating materials in the electronics industry.
