Pre-coated films require proper maintenance during use to preserve their protective performance and aesthetic appeal.
First, daily cleaning is crucial. Wipe the film surface with warm water or a neutral detergent, avoiding the use of acidic, alkaline, or highly corrosive cleaners to prevent damage to the coating. Use a soft cloth or sponge for cleaning, avoiding scratches from sharp objects and direct impact of high-pressure water to reduce the risk of peeling or scratching.
Second, prevent mechanical damage and chemical corrosion. Avoid prolonged friction, collisions, or contact with sharp objects to prevent scratches or cracks. When used in chemical environments, avoid contact with strong acids, alkalis, and solvents. If unavoidable, clean and neutralize promptly to extend the film's lifespan. Also, avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures or strong ultraviolet radiation; appropriate shading or protective measures can reduce thermal aging and fading.
Finally, proper storage and inspection are equally important. Unused pre-coated film should be kept dry and well-ventilated. Rolls should be laid flat or hung for storage to avoid moisture, pressure, or bending deformation. For used pre-coated film products, the integrity of the film layer should be checked regularly. If local damage, blistering, or peeling is found, it should be repaired or replaced in a timely manner.
